FISAVal (Finance Industry Standards Association) is a product used by mortgage brokers in order to identify suitable property surveyors so that the broker may instruct a valuation on a property.

FISAVal has come a long way since the it was first launched in 1997. Originally available on a single floppy diskette, it soon gained new features and new ways to keep the database of surveyors up to date. Internet connectivity came in version 3 and by the current version it had become entirely web based and accessible from the FISA website, security creditionals are required in order to access the information as it is not available to the general public.

CCTA is to take over the production and administration of all FISAVal information

Because FISA, the organisation behind FISAVal, ceased trading in early 2009, the CCTA (Consumer Credit Trade Association) will soon take over the management of FISAVal and the associated database. This will most likely result in the CCTA hosting the functions of the current desktop software directly on their website.
