How To Use Transparent Application Failover
In this tutorial, you will learn about Oracle Transparent Application Failover (TAF) and Transparent Application Continuity (TAC), two techniques for connecting a configured Oracle RAC to services automatically – to wherever the services they need are running. You’ll learn about server fault tolerance and session fault tolerance.

And, TAC takes TAF to a whole new level. Best of all, it is a declarative technique: the DBA configures it, the developers don’t even need to know that it is happening. (A very brief summary review of Oracle RAC is provided. For more on RAC, see this free tutorial – https://skillbuilders.com/course/learn-oracle-rac/. )
